Club Championship 2019

On the 7th July, our best golfers took part in our 36 hole club championship. After a fantastic opening round of 72 in tricky conditions, Leigh Smart held off the competition from Mark Rabone and Jack Ling carding 72 + 77 for a total of 149. This is a fantastic result for Leigh who defended his title from 2018. Can he make it a hattrick in 2020?

One of our most loved members of staff, Billy the starter, has retired. We have had many comments over the years from members and guests about how helpful Billy is and he will be missed by all past and present at the golf club. Happy retirement and enjoy it. Hopefully, we will see you in the spike bar and some at events over the next few months.

Toro Student Greenkeeper of the Year 2018

Our Greenkeeper Danny Pattern wins the Toro Young Student of The Year award 2018!

The 2019 season tee'd off in style, with our 2019 captain Mark Worsfold leading the way and then, for the first time, the 2019 lady captain (M Sexton) and the Junior captain (Joe Doolan) followed to show off their driving ability in front of a big crowd around the first tee. All at Lee Park with all 3 lots of success for 2019.
